Roofline Series - Dusk - Reductive Woodblock Print - 16 x 20 |
The latest print in my Roofline Series captures the Olde Kensington neighborhood of Philadelphia at dusk. While most of my work is inspired by the neighborhood's architecture, this print represents a few of my favorite buildings clearly. The Crane Arts Building, The old Gretz Brewery, St. Michael's Parish, 1223 N 4th Street and the not quite forgotten warehouse and garage spaces above Cecil B Moore. With all of the change and all of the new construction in the area I feel a new sense of urgency to document these beautiful structures of Philadelphia's industrial and manufacturing past. They just don't build them like they used to.
