70 Rupees to Paradise Road

It was a magical night. Though we were docked at Penn's Landing, just a stone's throw from center city, the noise, hustle and bustle of the city were soothed away by a cool breeze and the gentle rocking of a century old ship. The atmosphere was playful, as 20 artists gathered their creativity to produce a nautical exhibition embracing the theme, "How we get there". The exhibition was part of an annual fundraiser for the Tall Ship Gazela and took place in the hull of the 111 year old ship. The fundraiser was a weekend of art, music, and performance. I had the pleasure of participating as an artist in this marvelous event. The exhibition was organized by Rebecca Goldscmidt, owner of The Random Tea Room.

An exhibition of 20 artists, a talented group of printmakers, sculptors, and mix media artists and photographers, transformed the hull of the ship into a unique pop up museum of art.

My prints featured in the hull of the ship
"How do we get there?" 11 x 14 Woodblock Print, "Crab" 8 x 10 woodblock print cut out, "Jellyfish" 10 x 8 woodblock print cut out.

"One the Water" plays on the water while friends of the Gazela share a crisp and magical night aboard Philadelphia's historic tall ship
